The Lithuanian community has grown substantially since the A8 EU accession of Lithuania in May 2004. The community is reported to be the largest Lithuanian community in any London borough. There is currently no Lithuanian-speaking Health Advocate working for Newham NHS. There is a range of information in Lithuanian, but much is in Scotland and it is not easy to locate.
